I was really disappointed with my experience. If you have natural hair, this may not be the right salon for you. I’ve never been told that I didn’t have “the right type of hair” for a hairstyle before. I showed the stylist three different style options, and none of them worked out. Before my appointment, I was told that because my hair wasn’t relaxed, it wouldn’t come out as silky or straight. I completely understood that and wasn’t expecting perfection. What I didn’t expect was to leave so unhappy with my hair that I went straight home and redid it myself. I didn’t make a scene or argue. I simply paid for the service and left. I just think it’s important for stylists to be honest about what they can and can’t do, especially when working with different hair textures. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing.
